Elvis is the poet of the group. He is mild-mannered and friendly, a trait that often annoys the aggressive hoppy.

Fred is the one who rarely speaks but is usually upbeat and happy. He only has two limbs but they act as his arms and legs allowing him to run fast or, if he chooses, he can roll along like a ball.

Hoppy is aggressive, argumentative and awkward.  He changes colour according to his mood. On the positive side he is quite brave and loyal and ready to meet any physical (although not mental) challenge.

Leon is the leader of the group and is always reasonable and responsible. He is the one everyone wants to be best friends with but shows no favour. Pippa has a crush on him.

Pippa fancies Leon but is disappointed by his apparent lack of interest. She is equal to Leon and is respected by all others, except perhaps by Hoppy.

Myrtle can be a little unsure of herself and will often look to Pippa, the only other girl in the group for support. Pippa sometimes needs to explain things to her.

Monty also known as Mo, is the clown of the group as  befits his colourful appearance. He is always ready with a joke to lighten the situation.
